40 ml 1776 James E. Pepper bourbon
20 ml Arette Añejo tequila
20 ml Cherry Heering
2 dashes Scrappy’s orange bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
Preparation: Stirred. Optionally sprinkle with an orange zest.
The drink was created by Tim Stookey from “The Presidio Social Club” in San Francisco. He reports: „In creating this cocktail, I wanted to use Cherry Heering since it seem Christmassy with its strong fruit and musty flavors. Then I had to lighten it and start adding spice. I like the spiciness of reposado tequila, but I still needed more, so I added Regans’ orange bitters. A dash of Angostura, and it was ready.“
